Or is this just more AIG bashing? Citibank, MS, GS, will all have lent or arranged Shariah compliant loans. This is a frivolous case and as the article recognises, "Legal experts predict that the lawsuit will be quickly dismissed". Why bother reporting this rubbish? Because "AIG bailout illegal and anti-American" makes a good headline of course... A story about the real issues - government failure to regulate subprime lending and financial markets (Madoff the latest evidence) leading to the collapse of AIG and other institutions just does not make as exciting a headline... Is this news? Or is this just more AIG bashing?
