MMA Insurance plc, the broker-only insurer, has announced that it is bolstering its Business Development Team with a number of key appointments.

The move comes as the firm continues its strategic drive to develop its Commercial Lines.

Claire Ephgrave becomes UK Business Development manager, responsible for MMA’s UK Development managers, an instrumental task in driving the firm’s business strategy.

Ephgrave leaves behind Zurich Financial Services Group, and during her career has also worked for AXA and Aviva in underwriting and sales management positions.

Steve Joy has been named as the new UK Schemes & Affinities manager, and is charged with developing bespoke business opportunities via networks and regional brokers.

Joy and Ephgrave are both directly responsible to the recently appointed head of Business Development, Dan Andrews.
