Heath Lambert appointed by Scottish Optoelectronics Association

The Scottish Optoelectronics Association (SOA) has named Heath Lambert’s Commercial Affinity and Small Business (CA&SB) team as the firm’s sole insurance broker to offer its membership insurance products.

The SOA’s membership consists of Scottish optoelectronics firms, a sector which is rapidly developing.

The Travelers Insurance Company has been selected by the CA&SB team to be its partner for this move, due to the Travelers’ expert knowledge of the sector’s complicated technology.

Naturally, the firm also has specialist knowledge of the relevant insurance required by SOA, and is an ideal partner for Heath Lambert in this case.

Working together with SOA the partners developed SOA Insurance Services which will offer a comprehensive range of coverage.

Members of SOA can enjoy protection against business interruption, money and goods in transit, computers and network security, employers’ liability and professional indemnity cover, as well as additional insurance from Heath Lambert.

CA&SB MD, Mike Owen, explained that through close collaboration with Travelers Insurance Company the firm has been able to offer a unique insurance programme that caters to every need the SOA membership might require.

The scheme is to be launched in Scotland to begin with, and will be rolled out across the country during 2009.
