Aon Private Clients benefits from Lorega loss recovery

Aon Private Clients (APC), the specialist broker that insures high value cars, homes and artworks, has integrated Lorega’s Loss Recovery insurance within its policy wordings, following negotiations with its six main insurers.

The move means that APC policyholders will be provided with the services of an advocate who will prepare and negotiate their claim, in the event of large loss.

A qualified loss adjusters will work with clients whose claims exceed £5,000.

Aon believes its agreement with Lorega gives added value and product differentiation, while at the same time providing a streamlined, high quality service to clients.

The firm is also confident that the new service will be especially effective in more difficult cases because the Lorega advocate will be working alongside the insurer’s loss adjuster, to expedite a speedy and fair settlement.

APC managing director, Ben Doveton, describes the initiative as a missing link that can enable brokers and insurers to raise the bar when looking after high net worth individuals.

Lorega’s chief executive, John Sims, says the agreement with APC is a major breakthrough for his firm, adding that he is hopeful that Loss Recovery insurance will one day be seen as a natural add-on, in the way that legal expenses cover is today.

Three of APC’s insurers have already integrated Lorega’s policy into their wordings, with three others following on in the early part of 2009.
