High oil price reduces accident claims

| December 5, 2008 | 0 Comments

Accident management firm Ai Claims Solutions has reported that the high price of oil during the first quarter had a negative impact on its trading volumes.

Because money-conscious motorists were choosing to leave their cars at home, the number of accidents on UK roads dropped significantly.

Steve Broughton, CEO of Ai Claims, said business has picked up again since the decline in the first quarter.

Broughton anticipates that results during the second half of 2008 will be stronger than during the first half, in line with management expectations.

He added that the impact of the recession upon the number of vehicles on the road and subsequent accident claims is difficult to predict.
