Acting on behalf of Howden Insurance Brokers Limited, Taylor Wessing’s insurance group has operated in connection with the move of Benfield Corporate Risk’s US Wholesale Property Casualty unit over to Howden.

The high profile action occurred just as Aon was about to seal the £844m deal to acquire Benfield Group.

Peter Kempe led the Taylor Wessing advisory team to Howden, aided by Jonathan Rogers, who handled regulatory matters, Martin Yells (finance and banking) and employment issues were taken up by Rowena Kay.

Commenting on the matter, Peter Kempe has stated that the firm has collaborated closely with Howden to ensure every possible issue has been addressed.

John Plummer led the Benfield Corporate Risk team, which also included Nick Whitcombe, Richard Beard, Keith Sheridan, John Thorncroft, Paul Beverley, Simon Richardson and Alice Lambert.
