Equity Red Star opens northern office

| December 1, 2008 | 0 Comments

Equity Red Star, one of Lloyd’s biggest underwriting syndicates, has opened a new office in Leeds city centre, adding to its regional offices in Birmingham and Glasgow.

The company hopes that moving into the region will enable it to work more closely with insurance brokers based in the north of England.

This will allow Equity Red Star to expand its special risks and regional fleet businesses.

Keith Kitson, regional underwriting manager at Equity, said the new office will allow the company to meet customer needs with ‘tailored solutions’.

In addition, Kitson said, a northern office will widen the talent pool that the company is able to attract.

Equity Red Star is the biggest motor and personal lines syndicate at Lloyd’s, offering insurance cover for fleets, haulage, special risks, vans, motorcycles, minibuses, coaches, agricultural vehicles and personal accidents.
