Kevin Hogan has been named by Zurich Financial Services Group as the firm’s new chief executive officer for Global Life in the Americas.

He joins the firm from AIG, where he served as chief distribution officer of AIG Foreign Life and Retirement Services.

Hogan spent over two decades with the firm, during which time he occupied a range of senior executive positions, including COO for American International Underwriters.

Hogan will assume the newly created post on 1 December, and thus become responsible for the leadership of Zurich’s Life insurance business in both North and South America.

He is to be based in New York, and will report directly to the CEO of Global Life, Mario Greco.
