AEGIS London forms leisure team
AEGIS London has continued with its strategic diversification programme by announcing the appointments of Peter Lodge and Stephen Kiedish to a new UK leisure team.
In their new roles Lodge and Kiedish will underwrite risks across the entire industry, focusing on golf clubs, zoos, nightclubs, hotels and theme parks and complementing the existing non-marine property team.
Lodge is to lead the new leisure team, leaving behind the post of senior underwriter (Property and Casualty) he held with QBE.
He began his career over a quarter of a century ago with Commercial Union, and in his new role will report to John Chambers, specialty lines head and deputy active underwriter.
Kiedish, who also joins the firm from QBE, will be responsible to Lodge and assumes the position of UK leisure underwriter.
AEGIS London’s active underwriter, David Croom-Johnson, has described the formation of a new team as a logical step in the organisation’s drive to diversify, and welcomed Lodge and Kiedish to the firm.
