Giles acquires SBP Group
Independent insurance broker Giles Insurance Brokers Ltd has announced that it has acquired specialist transport insurance broker SBP Group Ltd.
SBP’s managing director, Simon Brooke, is to become regional MD within Giles.
SBP has a number of offices, including ones in Leeds, High Wycombe and Bristol, and a strong regional presence which will bolster Giles’ transport capability.
In addition to this the acquisition will also bolsters Giles’ presence in the region, and furnish it with in-depth local knowledge.
Giles chief executive, Chris Giles, has described the move as a significant step both in terms of enhancing the organisation’s strength in the transport sector, and in heightening its regional presence.
Giles went on to say that Brooke had an excellent reputation and would prove invaluable as the firm seeks to capitalise on opportunities afforded by the acquisition.
