The facultative reinsurance arm of Aon Global, Aon Re Global Fac, has launched a new unit dedicated to Alternative Solutions.

The unit has been formed to offer the full breadth of Aon Re Global Fac’s non-standard product range.

The unit will be headed by Paul Cousins and serve to bolster the firm’s present capabilities by providing a co-ordinated and integrated holistic approach to clients.

He brings with him more than three decades of industry experience, and has worked in the fields of underwriting and broking treaty and facultative reinsurance.

Cousins explains that the unit’s basic target is to provide facultative clients with a focal point through which they can access Aon Re Global Fac’s specialist offerings such as reflector covers, credit enhancement, residual value insurance and advance payment guarantees, amongst others.

Aon Re Global Fac’s chief executive officer, Elliot Richardson, adds that the formation of the new unit will substantially enhance the firm’s offering.
