Legal & General has announced the appointment of Claire Evans to the newly created position of marketing director for retail investments.

She recently joined the firm, leaving behind the role of head of marketing for retirement savings she held with Prudential.

Prior to working for Prudential she occupied positions with First Direct and Royal Bank of Scotland.

Evans brings with her experience accumulated over her 17 years in the industry, including firsthand knowledge of product marketing, online activities, brand development and communications.

In her new post Evans will be responsible for supervision of the retail investment portfolio’s strategic approach to marketing, and will also be tasked with complete delivery management of marketing campaigns ranging from online operations to direct mail.

She will be responsible to retail investments MD, Chris Radford, who has expressed his delight at her new appointment.
