Caravan Guard, the caravan and motor-home insurer, has been named “Customer Service Provider of the Year” in the UK Broker Awards 2008.

The firm received the accolade for its impressive staff retention numbers and focus on service, having competed against some of the UK’s largest brokers.

The family-run company says it has invested over £1 million in its premises and technology systems during the past year, in efforts to ensure that the highest possible standards are maintained as the business expands.

Caravan Guard has around 50,000 customers and employs over 70 staff. The firm offers a twenty-four hour claims line to clients and its policies are underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance.

According to human resources and training manager, Kerrie Mroczkowska, every member of Caravan Guard staff undergoes in-depth training and support.

She adds that the accolade is proof that customer service starts with well-trained, highly skilled and happy employees.
