Insurance broker and risk advisor Marsh has named Julie Page as head of the firm’s UK Commercial Practice.

The Practice caters to the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector within the UK.

She succeeds Chris Wallace, and will be responsible to Marsh UK’s chief operating officer, Ian Clarke.

Page has held a range of senior positions within Marsh UK already, most recently heading up Marsh UK’s Middle Market business Transformation programme, which involved the development of strategy and expansion within the sector.

Marsh UK’s chief executive officer, Martin South, explains that the SME sector has 4m firms and employs around three-fifths of the UK workforce.

South went on to praise Page’s extensive knowledge of the SME sector and her past record at the firm, describing her as excellently qualified for her new role.
