IGI Group, the Nottingham-based specialist general insurer, has acquired legal expenses firm, Complete Claims.
The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed but the move will bolster IGI’s legal expenses book and provide an opportunity for the company to expand its presence in the outsourced claims management sector.
Complete Claims was established in 2001 and provides a variety of legal expenses products as well as claims management services.
It also boasts a range of claims related products, such as uninsured loss recovery and replacement vehicle hire services.
The companies are already connected as IGI has been underwriting Complete Claims’ legal expenses product range for over seven years.
In the coming months, Complete Claims will be integrated into IGI’s legal expenses division and the brand phased out.
The Manchester-based firm’s 32 staff have already transferred to IGI and the new division will be headed by Andrew Kay (formerly of Complete Claims).
