Specialist insurer Ecclesiastical has announced the appointment of Ian Wainwright to the post of broker sales director.

Wainwright, who leaves behind his prior role with the firm of group chief surveyor, will be tasked with the development and promotion of sales via the firm’s regional office network and through national and network brokers.

He has held the position of group chief surveyor for 12 years, and has been with Ecclesiastical for a quarter of a century.

During his time with the firm he has managed teams of surveyors within the United Kingdom, and in Australia and Canada has created a robust risk services function.

Ecclesiastical’s MD for the UK and Ireland, Steve Wood, has stated that the appointment underlines the firm’s commitment to keep growing and fostering strong business relationships with like-minded brokers.
