Aon Consulting has appointed Marco Arteaga as chief executive officer of Aon Consulting in Germany, Aon Jauch & Hubener.

He joins Aon from Mercer Deutschland GmbH, where he was chairman of the management board.

Arteaga has been appointed to build upon the firm’s present strengths, with a view to accelerating its business growth.

He is to assume the role on 1 April next year, and succeeds Axel Heitkamp who is to retain responsibility for the firm’s consulting in Switzerland, Austria and Hungary.

Robert Middleton, CEO of Aon Consulting EMEA, has welcomed the appointment, praising Arteaga’s many years of industrial and managerial experience.

Ralph Liebke, country chairman for Aon Germany, has paid tribute to Heitkamp’s service in developing the firm’s excellent position.
