Marsh has appointed Nigel Salisbury as head of its UK-based Real Estate Practice.

He brings with him decades of senior experience in the sectors of professional and financial risks.

Prior to joining Marsh, Salisbury worked for RSA in the position of director of Property Investors with responsibility for building up the UK-wide segment of the residential and commercial property markets.

During his time with RSA an additional five regional trading units were created, with a substantial degree of growth delivered.

Salisbury, who is to be based in London, will report to George Davies and Jeff Alpaugh, UK Risk Management head and leader of the Global Real Estate Practice respectively.

Alpaugh has praised his extensive industry knowledge and in-depth understanding of the UK and international markets.
