Sainsbury’s Home Insurance is offering a 25% discount to new customers purchasing both buildings and contents cover together, before 6th October 2008.

An extra 10% discount is added to customers buying online and all new home insurance clients receive a £20 Sainsbury’s voucher which can be spent on groceries or fuel.

The buildings policy provides unlimited cover and a no claims bonus of up to 40% can be accrued.

No charge is added for spreading payment by direct debit and policyholders have access to a UK-based 24 hour home emergency advice line.

In related news, price comparison website Confused.com has added 1st Quote to its home insurance panel.

The new addition is a brand of the Highway broking arm of Hero Insurance Services and follows a number of recent new providers to the panel, including Churchill, Tesco and Privilege.

The firm’s commercial director, Peter Ablett, says that several more deals are in the pipeline.
