Lloyds TSB improves insurance comparison website

Lloyds TSB has awarded the contract to build a new customer acquisition strategy for its insurance-only comparison website to Golley Slater, the Cardiff-based marketing solutions group.

The firm will be developing and implementing the communications and media strategy for insurance.co.uk, which specialises in car, van, motorbike and travel cover.

Golley Slater’s managing director, Sion Ashley Jones, says the improvements will focus on a Combined Search approach that will encompass Paid, Natural and Social Search.

The brief also includes raising brand awareness and attracting “switchers” while at the same time retaining existing customers.

According to Golley Slater, the Lloyds TSB-owned site already has a raft of easy to use functions and offers a practice online theory driving test, available as an aid to learner drivers.

The marketing group says its strategy for insurance.co.uk will be to communicate that customers can make a more informed choice of insurance company and type of policy by using the site.
