Risk and reinsurance firm Guy Carpenter has announced that Cory Anger has been appointed as Global Structuring Chief for GC Securities.

She joins the firm from investment bank Lehman Brothers, where she worked in the Insurance Products Group as a senior vice president.

Earlier in her career she worked for Merrill Lynch in credit risk management.

GC Securities is the investment banking arm of Guy Carpenter, and in her new role there Anger will be responsible to David Priebe, leader of the Global Client Development Group.

Anger’s main task will be to develop the firm’s capital markets business, collaborating closely with Chi Hum, GC Securities Global Distribution head.

Hum, like Anger, will report directly to David Priebe.

Anger’s experience of deal management and insurance-linked securities will prove to be invaluable assets, Priebe has stated.
