Specialist insurer Hiscox has announced the launch of a new commercial insurance policy aimed at the owners of high-quality venues.

The policy, which will only be available via brokers, will cater to the specific needs of those who own museums galleries, exhibition halls, theatres and training centres across the UK.

The coverage offered can be tailored to meet the needs of customers, and offers buildings and contents insurance, public liability, employers’ liability, loss of income, and internet and email risks.

Should extra coverage be necessary (medical malpractice for surgeries for example), it can be purchased as an optional extra.

Hiscox UK’s John Heaney, commercial underwriter, has stated that the firm was pleased to be able to provide the bespoke new product.
