One of ACE Group’s principle firms, ACE American Insurance Company, is to enter Dubai with the establishment of a representative office.
The office, which is expected to be fully up and running by the end of September, is to operate with a National Agency agreement with Omeir Investments, and will permit ACE to conduct research and development activity in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The firm’s operations will be geared towards the strategic objective of expanding its property & casualty business into the UAE, with another objective of utilising the office as a liaison for the firm’s Dubai-based clients.
ACE has also announced the appointment of a UAE country manager, with Mark Quinn taking up the role.
Quinn leaves behind his previous role of SVP – Global Property, and brings with him in-depth knowledge of various insurance branches including power generation, property and construction.
In his new post he will have responsibility for the development of ACE’s presence in the UAE, and will report directly to Giles Ward, regional director for the Middle East and North Africa.
