Marsh has named its new CS STARS division leader in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region as Mark Gilliland.

Gilliland leaves behind his position as UK and Ireland MD with Progress Software to join Marsh.

He brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the global software industry.

The CS STARS division caters to clients desiring to make handling their enterprise risk, claims and insurance easier through the provision of software and services.

The division operates from fifteen offices located throughout the world, and supports more than 1,000 clients globally.

Gilliland’s primary concern in his new post will be nurturing the firm’s regional blue chip client base.

CS STARS president Jeffrey Markowitz has described Gilliland’s experience as invaluable, adding that he would help to attract new business from across the region.
