Groupama Insurances has named Paul Cann as the new Human Resources director.

He joined the insurer on 16 July, leaving behind ING Bank and bringing 15 years of experience in the field of human resources to his role.

In assuming the position he succeeds Caroline Alexander, who left her post due to family reasons.

In his new post Cann will lead a team of fifteen and be responsible for the creation, design and enactment of the firm’s strategic approach to human resources.

He will be based at head office in the City of London and will report to Paul Picknett, director of Corporate Services.

Groupama’s decision to recruit Cann underlines its commitment to fostering and attracting talented individuals, and retain them through making the firm’s environment attractive.
