Ian Summers has been named by Aon UK as the firm’s new eBusiness and Market Reform managing director.

Across the business, he will be responsible for the leadership and development of eBusiness strategy.

Summers is to retain his position as Change Strategy director for Aon Re Global.

Aon has placed a strong emphasis on eBusiness, and has won seven ACORD awards for playing a leading role in improving the benchmark of electronic business.

Aon UK’s chief executive officer, Peter Harmer, has said that eBusiness is crucial to the firm’s growth strategy.

Harmer went on to state that it was so important because it would bolster flexibility, giving Aon a critical edge in competitiveness.
