Heath Lambert Group has successfully won a 10 year deal to serve as the broker for Crossrail, the £15.9bn rail project in the capital.

Heath Lambert’s responsibility will be the creation of a suitable insurance programme, offering advice and guidance and then placing the scheme.

Crossrail is one of the largest and most prestigious construction projects in Europe, spanning Maidenhead and Heathrow in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east.

Along the way the project will pass through Central London, with nine new Crossrail stations being built in the city.

Heath Lambert’s Mike Hawkes, executive director for transportation, has expressed the firm’s delight at their appointment.

Hawkes went on to explain that the Project Risks Group is a combination of the Transportation, Construction, Projects, Advisory and Terrorism teams, an integrated approach that he says has received positive feedback from clients.
