Mark Chessher has been named by Aon as the new chief financial officer for Aon Limited and ARS (UK).

His appointment is subject to FSA approval, with the intention being that he join the firm later in the year.

In joining Aon he leaves behind Zurich Financial Services where he presently works for the New York-based North American large corporate customer division as chief financial officer.

Prior to holding this post he was Zurich’s UK finance director.

With the assumption of his post, Chessher will sit on the Aon Limited board and succeed John Cullen.

Cullen leaves his role for promotion, having been appointed as the global chief financial officer for Aon Risk Services.
