Andreas Wania has been named by ACE European Group as the firm’s new Regional Manager for Central and Eastern Europe.

He first joined the firm four years ago to start up the non-life Russian operation, CJSC ACE insurance company.

The region Wania is now responsible for is vast, ranging from Russia in the north down to Turkey in the south.

He will report directly to ACE’s president for continental Europe, David Furby.

Furby has paid tribute to Wania’s track record in Russia, adding that with his new appointment he would be able to utilise his experience and knowledge of the country to good effect.
