Benfield release updated ExposureView
Reinsurance and risk intermediary firm Benfield has launched Version 3.1 of ExposureView, an updated version of its risk mapping and exposure management tool.
Executive vice president, Kevin Campion, explained that the firm’s commitment to innovation had prompted the upgrade, despite its predecessor being an award-winner.
Campion went on to explain that Version 3.1 would be easier to use and has more powerful interactive reporting capabilities, supporting clients who need to act swiftly during hurricane season.
The tool is designed to allow the potential impact of catastrophes upon insurers’ portfolios to be seen.
However, it is also used by underwriters who use to review new risks, such as localised terrorism, and claims teams who deploy adjusters and manage and analyse claims based upon the software’s information.
It has improved analysis for events such as hail storms and tornadoes, and automatically updates hurricane footprints on a six hour basis.
