Fortis launches two UK life products
Global banking and insurance group, Fortis, has launched its first UK life products, following the formation of a UK life division in February of this year.
Your Life Plan and Real Life Cover are available through a small group of financial advisers, prior to a full roll-out.
Your Life Plan has been designed to provide a choice of term assurance that can be tailored to an individual’s needs and only one application process is needed for a number of risks, including family income benefit, critical illness and income protection.
Real Life Cover can combine seven forms of protection insurance, including life, income and unemployment.
There are plans for the policy to be made available directly to customers through Asda supermarkets.
In both cases, the application process focuses on customers’ specific circumstances and avoids the needs for medical reports where possible.
Fortis has a presence in over 50 countries and is already well established in the UK general insurance market.
The group is currently expanding its European base and last year it acquired part of Dutch bank ABN Amro, to this end.
