Liberty International Underwriters (LIU) have named Oliver Wheeler as the new vice president of Directors and Officers’ Liability.

He joins LIU, leaving behind a position in Spain with Chubb where he served as Madrid financial lines manager.

During his time with Chubb he also served as a D&O underwriter, and brings over a decade of industry experience with him to his new role.

Wheeler’s London-based role will see him tasked with underwriting the firm’s global, wholesale D&O business that takes place through London.

Gerard van Loon, managing director for operations in continental Europe, has welcomed the appointment, praising Wheeler’s tremendous experience.
