Aon Consulting Worldwide, the human capital consulting arm of Aon Corporation, has announced the appointment of Grace Cowan to the post of senior vice president and national director of the Life, Disability and Elective Benefits practice.

Cowan, who joins the Chicago office, brings a quarter of a century of experience to her new post.

She will be responsible for the development of client services and products, fostering fresh talent and creating new growth strategies.

She leaves behind MetLife, where she served as senior vice president of customer service.

Earlier in her career Cowan she held the position of chief operating officer with Chicago Health Systems, and was responsible for the revenue producing business for seven hospitals.

Her appointment is effective immediately.
