An Insurance Regulatory & Tax Consulting Practice has been created by Marsh.

The new practice, which is part of the Global Risk Management Division, is to be led by Praveen Sharma, who will be based in London.

He brings with him 14 years of tax adviser experience, accumulated during stints at KPMG and Ernst & Young.

He joins Marsh from Aon, where he served as regulatory and compliance chief for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for the last seven years.

Sharma will report directly to Marsh’s multinational practice leader, Howard Whitmore.

It will serve as a provider of information and services to a multinational clientele, with the purpose of advising them regarding their insurance-related regulatory and premium tax risks.
