Aon Risk Services has announced the appointment of Christof D. Bentele to the position of chief commercial officer of Aon Middle East.

He brings with him two decades of insurance experience, the last eight years of which have been with Aon.

Bentele joined the firm in 2000, leaving behind AIG where he was responsible for running crisis management within Europe.

Bentele, who assumes his new post with immediate effect, will be tasked with the management of client-facing operations and business development.

In particular, he will focus upon the development of innovative products and services, as well as overseeing the fostering of young talent from the Middle East.

Aon Middle East’s CEO, Latif AlRayes, has welcomed Bentele’s appointment, describing him as an ideal candidate for the task at hand.
