Dan Mewse has been appointed as commercial lines underwriter by Arista Insurance.

He brings with him well over a decade of experience in the industry, working for a variety of firms including Jelf Group, NIG and Graham Sykes.

In his new Exeter-based role Mewse will focus upon offering local underwriting support in Devon and Cornwall.

Mewse will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of regional broker accounts, and is to report to David Aslin, regional manager for the South West.

Aslin has welcomed his appointment, explaining it comes as an answer to the increasing demand Arista is seeing in the region.
