Fortis Insurance has named Ron Munro as the firm’s new underwriting development manager.

Munro, who is to report directly to Adam Clarke, the director of underwriting, will be tasked with the development of new insurance products to bolster the firm’s offering.

It was earlier this year that Munro joined Fortis, becoming a non-executive director of the Thatcham Board, an industry funded body that aims to reduce the cost of car insurance claims.

He brings with him over two and a half decades of experience to his new position, and has expressed his delight to be appointed as underwriting development manager.

Adam Clarke has welcomed Munro, and praised his vast knowledge of the industry.
