Catlin Group Limited has announced that David Ibeson has been appointed to the post of chief executive of Catlin UK.

His appointment requires the green light from the FSA (Financial Services Authority).

Ibeson, who is presently chief executive of Catlin Syndicate at Lloyd’s, joined the firm two years when Wellington Underwriting plc was acquired.

He spent twelve years with Wellington, during which time he occupied a broad range of positions including executive director.

Catlin UK focuses on writing commercial non-life insurance for the UK market via its network of regional offices.

Ibeson will replace Andreas Loucaides, who has resigned from the firm.

Stephen Catlin, chief executive of Catlin Group Limited, has welcomed Ibeson’s appointment, and thanked Loucaides for his efforts in his tenure as chief executive of Catlin UK.
