Giles acquires Professional Indemnity Group

Giles Insurance Brokers has acquired The Professional Indemnity Group, which is based in Aust in Gloucestershire and specialises in providing PI insurance to construction businesses.

The firm employs 10 staff and the move will expand both Giles’ geographical presence and its PI offering.

The Professional Indemnity Group was founded by Rob and Fiona Park who are confident that Giles’ entrepreneurial style will help expand the business. Both founders be staying on as consultants.

Giles entered a period of rapid growth following an investment of £500 million from private equity firm, Charterhouse, in March of this year.

It has embarked on a series of acquisition that include David Moore and Company and Midlands Risk Management (based in the Midlands); Elliott Garden (North East); Shephards Insurance Brokers (Kent); Robinson Leslie (Chester) and DS Howell (Wales).

The broker is aiming to increase gross written premiums to £1 billion.
