LV=, the friendly society formerly known as Liverpool Victoria, has launched two new travel policies: annual and single trip.

Medical cover of up to £10 million is included on both types of policy, as is £2,500 personal possessions cover, £500 for loss of money, £5,000 for cancellation, £250 for travel delays and up to £25,000 for legal expenses.

Single trip cover starts from £6.76 for a seven day trip in the UK, while annual policies start from £38.82 for Europe and £74.16 for worldwide cover.

Winter sports, business and wedding cover are available as optional extras and policies can be purchased from LV= either by telephone or online.

The insurer has also announced that it has reviewed its administration charges for insurance customers and is removing fees for some policy amendments.

These include changes in cover levels, change of address and cancellation of a policy when this is necessitated by reasons outside the policyholder’s control.
