Frank Hindle has been named as the new chairman of Ropner Insurance Services Ltd.

Hindle, formerly chief executive officer and executive director, succeeds Gordon Whiteley, who has occupied the role of chairman for 13 years.

The two men have collaborated together for almost four decades and joined Ropner together in 1995.

Last year Richard Steel took over the reins as CEO, with Hindle assuming the role of executive director.

However, Whiteley is to retain his position as chairman of the firm’s holding company, newly renamed Ropner Insurance Holdings Ltd.

Steel has wished Whiteley all the best for the future, adding that he would be greatly missed as both a colleague and a friend.
