Aon Global has established a London-based Asia Desk, which is to be led by Clemens Philippi.

Philippi and his team will be tasked with providing Asian firms’ UK and European affiliates with risk assistance.

In addition, the Asia Desk will give advice to British companies that are seeking to invest in Asia.

It will unify the expertise of the Japan Desk UK, headed up by Philippi, and two desks dedicated to India, led by Kavita Pandey, and China, led by Fang Li.

The Asia Desk will also aim to create opportunities within London, such as the placement of large and/or complex risk such as earthquake and refinery risks from countries such as Japan and China.

The rapidly expanding Asian market present a great opportunity, according to Philippi.

Philippi went on to say that the new desk would utilise the combined skill and experience brought together to try and make the most of it.
