The underwriting team of Folksamerica Reinsurance Company is to see a trio of promotions.

Melissa Emmendorfer is to assume the role of chief underwriting officer and will be responsible for Professional Liability, Clash and Workers Comp.

Emmendorfer brings with her experience of both underwriting and actuarial positions spanning almost two decades.

The new chief underwriting officer for Accident and Health has been named as Joann De Blasis.

De Blasis has 25 years of experience in the industry, and before joining the firm eight years ago she held senior positions with a range of companies including Risk Capital Re.

Anthony A. Sasso is named as the chief underwriting officer of the Property business.

Sasso has been with Folksamerica for five years, and has three decades of experience.
