Valera made Iberia CEO by Aon Re

Aon Re Global has announced that Alfonso Valera is to assume the role of chief executive officer for Aon Re Iberia.

Valera’s new position will be effective from 1 May.

He is promoted from the post of Aon Re Iberia, which he has held since 2005, and has been with Aon for 17 years.

During his time with the firm Valera has worked in a wide range of senior positions, and has also worked for five years in London as a broker.

He succeeds Javier Esteban, who will remain with the firm as an advisor to the EMEA division.

Aon Re EMEA’s president and CEO, Richard Posgate, has thanked Esteban for four decades of service, adding that he is delighted Valera will be taking on the role.
