Equity Insurance Group yesterday announced the completion of two book acquisitions, in which both commercial and personal accounts were transferred into the group’s branch network.

Accounts that up until now were dealt with by Roger Yeoman’s Insurance Agency, based in Stretton, will be moved to Equity’s branch in Burton on Trent.

The business that was handled by Ferndown Insurance Services, based in Woking, will be moved to the Equity branch in Chertsey.

Equity’s director of acquisitions, Mike Hutton, said: “We see real benefit from infilling business acquired from brokers close to our branch locations and are actively seeking similar opportunities throughout our regional footprint.”
