Phil Dancaster has been appointed to the post of motor underwriter by Brit Insurance.

Dancaster leaves behind Norwich Union and brings with him over two decades of industry experience.

Whilst at Norwich he spent decades working in the field of motor fleet insurance, in addition to a stint as trading underwriter.

He assumes the Birmingham-based position with immediate effect, which will see him directly responsible to the firm’s central and south western regional manager, Alan Liddiard.

Brit UK’s chief executive, Peter Burrows, praised Dancaster’s experience in motor underwriting as unsurpassed.

Burrows went on to say that this knowledge of the market coupled with longstanding relationships built up with brokers across the country made him a great asset to the firm’s expanding team.
