Andrea Moneta has been appointed to the post of chief executive for Aviva Europe.

He will also assume a position on the firm’s group executive committee, and join the firm on 1 July, leaving behind Dubai Financial Group where he is currently serving as managing director.

He comes equipped with a great deal of financial services experience, including a stint as strategic planning chief at the European Central Bank.

Moneta will report directly to Andrew Moss, the group chief executive.

Moss has praised Moneta’s excellent track record, adding that his appointment marked the completion of Moss’ executive team.
