Loudon made chairman of Whittington

John Loudon has been named as Whittington Group’s new non-executive chairman.

Loudon presently occupies the role of chairman for both Caneminster Limited and XL London Market Ltd.

Tony Hobrow, the group CEO, has expressed his delight at at Loudon’s acceptance of the appointment.

Hobrow went on to say that the new chairman’s extensive experience would prove valuable in assisting the firm to achieve its ambitious expansion plans in both Asia and Europe.

The chief executive also revealed that Loudon’s predecessor, Edward de Jager, will retain his place in the firm as a non-executive director.

Hobrow thanked de Jager on behalf of the board and himself for his contribution to the group’s successes.
