First Title Insurance plc has announced two senior appointments today.

Christian Court and David Yearn will both seve the firm as business development executives.

Court has spent more than 15 years in Moscow, working in a range of business/sales development roles.

Prior to his time in Russia he worked for Courtaulds as a sales and marketing executive.

Yearn also brings with him great experience of eastern Europe, having worked in a large number of countries there, including Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia.

In their posts they will be responsible for commercial title insurance sales in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

They will report directly to First Title’s CEE managing director, Andrew Jackson.

Court’s position will be based in Budapest, and he will be given responsibility for expanding commercial title insurance sales across Austria, Slovakia and Hungary.

Yearn will be tasked with supporting Country Manager John Bakowski in Poland, in addition to being charged with responsibility for the Baltic region and the Czech Republic.

Andrew Jackson has explained that the two appointments are intended to build upon the successes the firm enjoyed last year by focusing upon the CEE region.

Jackson went on to praise Court and Yearn’s talents, including their multilingual abilities.
