Legal & General (L&G) has received the top ‘eee’ rating of the Financial Technology Research Centre.

The accolade takes into account all four categories of the insurer’s annual protection e-Excellence study, which assess the quality of a provider’s e-commerce service to financial advisors.

L&G is one of only two providers to have achieved the ‘eee’ rating in all four categories, which comprise life protection, critical illness, income protection and menu capability.

Bonnie Burns, the insurer’s protection marketing director, says the company is committed to helping advisers improve their services to clients by making it faster for them to submit and manage their applications.

She points out that L&G has been rated the top company for menu capability, which she believes is becoming “increasingly important for advisors”.

Only last month, L&G’s life insurance business won Best Service Provider and Best E-commerce Provider at the LifeSearch awards.
